Kazuyuki Kuroda received his PhD degree in Applied Chemistry from Waseda University in 1979. He has been a full professor since 1989 at the same university. He was a principal investigator for the CREST program (Japan Science & Technology Agency) during the project period of 2002-2007. He has also served as a program leader of government-funded Global COE program (2007-2011) granted to Waseda University in chemistry and materials science field. He has received several awards including the academic award of the Ceramic Society of Japan. He is a regional editor of Microporous & Mesoporous Materials (official journal of International Zeolite Association). Current research interests include inorganic materials chemistry, intercalation chemistry, nanoporous materials, silicate chemistry, inorganic polymers, sol-gel chemistry, inorganic-organic hybrids, and self-organized materials.
